Rapid prototyping courses

Our centrifugal metal casting courses help you to prepare and position the master models correctly in the silicone mould. These are useful because the masters may partially or irremediably damage the silicone rubber due to chemical or physical contamination. These courses also deal with the correct processes to follow so as not to contaminate the silicone rubber during baking. We have been working with the most prestigious universities and polytechnics in Italy for years.

As well as the centrifugal and precision casting courses, we also explain all of the correct techniques for using our talcs and release agents. We teach the correct time and temperature to use during the vulcanisation stage, which are essential when it comes to the lifetime and quality of the item produced from the final mould.

The prototyping course is very useful for training companies in pre-series production for different materials, making it possible to save on the production of steel moulds, which have costs and time levels that are hundreds of times above those we offer. Specifically, apart from the physical cost of the steel mould, it is also worth considering the notable savings in terms of production time for the prototype and/or pre-series, which should be a time frame of about a few hours.

We are able to use the most popular rapid prototyping systems as models and therefore, all of the stereolithographies (SLA) on sale.

During the rapid prototyping process, we provide and explain more than 30 types of thermosetting resins:

  • Polyurethanes
  • Polyester
  • Epoxy
  • Paraffin (waxes)

We also mould the following pre-series and prototypes using centrifugal casting:

  • Zinc and its alloys
  • Tin and its alloys
  • Bismuth and its alloys (eutectic alloys)
  • Lead and its alloys

+ Basic chemistry training in silicones

This course also provides the basics in chemical theory for the correct use of rubber.
