Centrifugal plastic casting courses

The centrifugal plastic casting courses make it possible to prepare and position the master models correctly in the silicone mould. These are useful because the masters may partially or irremediably damage the silicone rubber due to chemical or physical contamination.

These courses also deal with the correct processes to follow so as not to contaminate the silicone rubber during baking.

We also teach everything concerning casting thermosetting single-colour or multi-coloured (veined) polymers:

  • Reaction type
  • Mixing ratios
  • Casting times
  • Stabilisation

We provide and explain more than 30 types of thermosetting resins:

  • Polyurethanes
  • Polyester
  • Epoxy
  • Paraffin (waxes)

As well as the centrifugal and precision casting courses, we also explain all of the correct techniques for using our talcs and release agents. We also teach the correct time and temperature to use during the vulcanisation stage, an extremely important factor in achieving the most from the final mould.

+ Basic chemistry training in silicones

This course also provides the basics in chemical theory for the correct use of rubber.
